Back to Back Blooms

CASUAL
To create this lovely, heartfelt card, use a Stamparatus to line up the floral images from the Back to Back Blooms Stamp Set, then stamp them in Bumblebee and Mint Macaron ink on a Basic White Cardstock layer. (We overlapped the stamping onto the Mint Macaron Cardstock card base for some extra sophistication and prettiness!) Stamp the sentiment from the Heal Your Heart Stamp Set in Mint Macaron and Misty Moonlight ink on the Basic White Cardstock label. Finally, adhere the label to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Done! You have an elegant thank you card ready to send in no time at all!
AVID
Step up the second card by adding a lacy edge to the Basic White layer using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. This additional step takes about a minute and instantly enhances the card’s beauty. Once that’s finished, adhere fussy-cut flowers from the Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper to the front of the card to create a gorgeous, full bouquet. A sprinkling of Opal Rounds completes the look. Tip: Use your Stamparatus to stamp the line art images first. Then, clean the stamp and position it to stamp the solid floral image. (Stamp off the solid image before stamping on the project.)
ARTFULLY AVID
For our fanciest card, we fussy cut the stamped images and adhered an additional layer of Designer Series Paper to the card front. We also die cut the label using the Stitched Nested Label Dies and then—for a final touch—stamped the sentiment on Soft Sea Foam Cardstock. Isn’t it stunning? Sometimes the smallest details can make all the difference in your papercrafting!

Just Case It Christmas

To CASE (Copy and Share Everything) is something nearly every experienced papercrafter does on a regular basis. You see a card in a catalog, for instance, focus on something you like about it, then re-create it with your own spin.
You can add layers or simplify the project, but the main point is to enjoy being inspired by the work of others. Our minds start working when we study and learn from a project someone else has made.
So pick up the catalog and look through the pages until you find something that really makes you want to pull out all your crafting supplies and start working. Copy the project, then use the following ideas to make it your own:
Copy the layout. Copy the color scheme. Copy the technique.
Our talented artist CASEd a card from the August–December 2020 Mini Catalog to create samples for this article. Why not see what you can find in this great publication, then CASE a festive card? Whatever you do, have a fabulous time!

WORLD CARD MAKING DAY!!!

Posted by Crystal
· Saturday, October 3rd, 2020

World Cardmaking Day gives you the perfect reason to gather with family and friends (online or offline) to create a stack of greeting cards, ready for sending. Because crafting for varying skill levels can sometimes be challenging, we are providing you with three card ideas (hello, birthday, and thank you cards) stepped up to accommodate casual, avid, and artfully avid crafters. Isn’t it amazing how a few extra products or an added stamping technique can make such a difference to a project?

Are you ready for a World Cardmaking Day challenge? We are asking demonstrators, friends, family members and customers to help us collectively send 60,000 handmade cards around the world during World Card Sending Week (4–10 October). What better way to achieve that goal than by making multiples of cards in a short space of time! The Stamparatus is an excellent tool to help you achieve that goal. Take a look at our video for some simple and quick card inspiration!

Kits are the perfect product to break out when friends drop by for coffee, or if you want to make multiples of greeting cards in a relatively short amount of time. They’re also great for World Cardmaking Day projects! The Tag Buffet Project Kit (item 153649) from the August–December 2020 Mini Catalog lets you create 30 beautiful gift tags–but guess what? You can make cards with this kit, too. It’s so easy when you add the coordinating Tag Buffet Stamp Set (item 153612), card bases, some bling and adhesive. See the video below for some fast tags-to-cards inspiration!

Beginner and Casual Crafter Card
Stamp a leaf in Cajun Craze ink on the front of a Very Vanilla card base and use the dies to add details. Adhere a piece of striped Gilded Autumn Designer Series Paper to the left edge of the card. Stamp a sentiment in Early Espresso ink on Mint Macaron Cardstock, and punch it out using the Label Me Fancy Punch. Adhere the label, wrap ribbon around the card, and tie a bow!
Avid Crafter Card
Cut stitched lines into the Very Vanilla Cardstock. Stamp leaves in Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake, and Mint Macaron ink on a separate piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock and die cut them using the Stitched Leaves Dies. Use VersaMark ink to stamp the label, sprinkle with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder, and arrange the pieces onto the card. Finish with Wonderful Gems!
Stepped Up Avid Crafter Card
Emboss the Very Vanilla Cardstock with the Tin Tile 3D Embossing Folder before adding gold foil accents and other layers. Before tying ribbon around the card, add an Acorn Trinket. Replace Crumb Cake ink with Early Espresso ink when stamping leaves, and punch a label from a Gold Foil Sheet embossed with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder. RAINBOW GLIMMER PAPER

Posted by Crystal
· Thursday, July 30th, 2020

Do you LOVE things that sparkle and shine? This is traditional Glimmer Paper with a splash of rainbow color. You get swaths of Bermuda Bay, Blackberry Bliss, Granny Apple Green, Magenta Madness, and Mango Melody on two 12″ x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) thin glittered sheets.

Our artist added shimmery die-cut letters to a card, created a background on another card, and used Rainbow Glimmer Paper to add depth and pizzazz to a birthday tag. What can you make with this fun and fancy paper? We think “the sky’s the limit”!
P.S. This paper coordinates with the Artistry Blooms Suite (AC p. 130) plus many of our Designer Series Paper and cardstock collections. Explore the catalog for so many possibilities!
