Monochromatic Card Gate Fold
Stamps: Best Thoughts 138700 (hostess only)
Paper: Watermelon Wonder 138334, Whisper White 100730
Ink: Watermelon Wonder 138323
Inspired by Joanne Mulligan (she did not do a gate fold) she did ribbon down the center of the card…but it just screamed GATE FOLD to me!
Your Watermelon Wonder card base is cut 8 ½ x 5 ½, so we will end up with a normal A2 (4 ¼ x 5 ½) size card. You will score the card at 2 1/8 and 6 3/8. This will make your happy little gate for your card. You need to strips of Whisper White cut 1 ¾ x 5 ¼ on one of them you will stamp a butterfly with Watermelon Wonder and then stamp another one before reinking. You will continue this process until you are happy with your strip. On the other strip you will stamp the greeting, it barely fits, but it does fit! Next you will stamp the flower on your
3 ¼ x 3 ¼ square of Whisper White Card stock. If you wanted to be fancy, you could bling up your flower with some gems. Now you will stamp butterflies on the 4 x 5 ¼ Whisper White piece of cardstock that you will put on the inside of your card and adhere it to the inside of your card. Now adhere your small strips to their respect sides of your gate fold. You will then adhere your flower to its Watermelon base and take and place two dimensionals onto each corner of the left of the flower, then place another one toward the center left, NOT too far to the middle as you do not want to block your card from opening.
